Re: Mixed size stock tires?

I expect they wanted the rears wider for handling purposes. Your 50/50 comment makes sense in a static world, but the tires are sharing weight very disproportionately dynamically, especially with struts in front and a beam axle in the rear. The rear inner tire in hard cornering carries very little w...

Re: Tires

Thanks for sharing! Looks like you went with identical wheels on all four corners? I'm also curious what offset you are running. Can you look at the factory wheels and see if they have the offsets marked on those? My car hasn't arrived yet and I can't figure out the factory offsets. I'm hoping to fi...

Re: DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger,

The combination of a typical J1772 AC plug and a chademo plug are significantly larger than a J1772 combo, Supercharger, etc. connector. The Chademo protocol certainly does have an impact on where an OEM puts the plug, as it is very large and cannot co-exist like the J1772 combo. This is a big probl...

Re: DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger,

Is it just me or is there anyone else getting tired of this thread?... I really enjoy this thread and that all of the banter can be stuck in here until combo chargers start hitting the ground. There are a few parrots who troll here that i would love to have stop squawking the same thing repe...

Re: DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger,

As consumers, we have to vote with our pocketbooks what we want to see when it comes to features like DC fast charging. I think this is a great attitude, and I completely agree. People can talk all they want, but manufacturers will listen to $$$$ a lot sooner than very loud requests. ... I want the...

Re: Triple Honk Always

It's the dumbest thing ever. Just like GM giving you an actual physical key to open Spark, with an rfid embedded to boot, only to have it trigger alarm if you dare to use it. This is right out of Joseph Heller pages, folks! Driving this car (all my cars have been Hondas, Acuras, etc.) I now truly r...

Re: Spark EV sputtering for the other 48?

Every single one brought to Portland has been sold immediately. Supply is currently being limited. There are highway billboards advertising the Spark EV specifically here. Locally, I'm not seeing any sales dilemma, just a limited supply at the moment.
