I envy you in many ways not to have to have a car. I'd love to live somewhere eventually where I can dump my car and not have to have one. Even if it's electric.
I've 28K on my car and the tires are still about 5K miles from being down to the indicators...they've worn out uniformly too. I'm hoping I don't need to change them before I turn this thing in.
Yes I've noticed that...I cannot get my brake lights to come on at all during regen braking. I tried and tried and just won't happen.
I've not received any news about a software update either. How could I find out about this?
No actually I do think you don't like GM and that's fine. But what makes you think it's OK for Nissan to dictate everyone's charging standard and leave it up to them? Uh...no thanks to a monopoly. Look at the actions of ALL manufacturers...they are all jostling their own positions in this...
I think you guys are missing the point....I want REALLY good acceleration at 60 not just from 20. That can be done with a torque converter and range isn't an issue because it's a burst not sustained.
Look at what the Zombie 222 owner did to get an idea of what sort of performance he's getting...
No it needs a torque converter to accelerate better at higher speeds....putting the motor back in the higher torque bands at speeds where the motor torque drops off.
I doubt very much a charging standard would slow down any of the EV manufacturers. There's no proof of that other than hearsay. New technology always diverges in ways that are not always convenient for the end consumer but in the end more options equal lower costs and a better finished...
This car needs a torque converter...like the Zombie 222...showing that EVs can out accelerate most cars too at high speeds if they have more than one gear or a converter.
