Wow Jeffrey! Glad to hear you are ok. Keep us updated on how they proceed with replacing your car and any investigation into the aftermath of the accident.
As far as what will happen to the car? Will probably be sold off at auction unless GM decides to buy it from the insurance company to do...
I can count the SAE Combo Equipped charge stations in CA on one hand. The only known working one in the southern half of the state is near you at the Fashion Valley Mall in SD. As far as a quick charge station up near newport/laguna, again the closest two SAE Combo equipped chargers are in...
That's one of the main reasons why ours had to be blue :) The blue interior trim in a non blue car would have driven me nuts. On the blue cars it works, others including black, not so much..
Too bad I wasn't signed up on voltstats the day I picked up my car, I drove from City Chevrolet in San Diego to my house in San Gabriel with a couple of pit stops in Irvine to try the non functional quick chargers that ended up being a 4 hour pit stop at a level 2 charger. Total mileage for that...
Of all the DC quick charge stations nation wide, 9 of them are on the charge point network. From what it looks like they never really invested in the quick charge technology, period. So far they have just piggybacked on top of someone else's station and added their authorization/payment system...
Looking on plugshare a few people seem to have had problems with that station in the last week with both CHAdeMO and SAE Combo. Seems like whatever it is just may be the station itself, not your car.
Perhaps we should get a list of all currently known SAE combo chargers (whether they are currently functional or not) Might be a good idea to help each other out.
When you spoke with the mfg of the charger with the SAE combo plug did they say for sure that it was working correctly? Its hard to say if it is a vehicle issue or a charger issue until the mfg of the device can say for sure that it works correctly, IE actually plugging a car in to the unit and...
Where was the charger with the combo plug that you tried located? As far as I know the only functional quick charge station is in san diego at fashion valley. The two in Irvine are not currently working on the SAE side. The mfg of the quick charge station that I used was labeled as Evpump.
Dave?
My only quibble about the SAE side not being labled "coming soon" or something along those lines both on plugshare and on the machine itself is that I spent a lot of time waiting when I expected to be happily on my way. Inconvenient? Yes. End of the world? Nope still here. I would have...
Perhaps. I had a full charge leaving the dealer so had no reason to go check it out. I initially was going to spend some time with my cousin who lives in SD but it took so long at the dealer we decided it would have to be some other time. If I had seen him I was going to hit up the SAE charger...
SAE Combo filter isnt on the app yet, will probably come out next time they push an update to the app/play store.
Anyhow. I ended up picking up my spark from City Chevrolet in San Diego. Part of the plan to make it back home was to stop and use one of the SAE quick chargers that i had found in...
OP.. edited this thread because i obviously fail at reading comprehension sometimes. You state 50 miles round trip, but somehow in my head it was 50 mile each way.. Derp... anyhow, If you have a 50 mile round trip commute then a spark could work for you, even with ac blasting and keeping up with...
Learned tonight that just because it's on the dealers website does not mean it's available for pickup. Apparently when a dealer has ordered the car and they are in transit to said dealer the info is pushed to the dealers inventory listing. So yes they have it listed, but they may or may not...
