Planning a set of Michelin Xice tires for winter.

I am back in town. First thing this morning I increased the pressure in my new snow tires to the maximum cold published on the sidewall (50psi). Let’s see what that does!

Planning a set of Michelin Xice tires for winter.

So day one I left the tire shop and drove a mile to the body shop. Upon leaving the body shop I was shocked by wheelspin when I tried to jump out and join the traffic. The next two times was demonstrating acceleration with SC and TC selected off. Still, much more drama than the Ecopas!

Is Spark EV BEST Budget option? What should be looked over?

Which is hilarious when you consider you can seat 4 people in it!

    Remote batteries? Lithium better?

Now that I think of it, I believe you are correct. The second pack had “lithium” prominently marked and I didn’t stop to think. I was hoping for the “bad batch” answer. I had the thing for a few days and was worried the remote was compromised.

Planning a set of Michelin Xice tires for winter.

Could be tire noise but feels like wheelspin. It’s October and we will be below freezing every morning from here til spring. I’ll wake to snow before you know it. I’m not risking my car in the winter.

Is Spark EV BEST Budget option? What should be looked over?

With my 5’2” wife at the wheel my daughter’s 6’3” boyfriend can sit in back no problem.

    Remote batteries? Lithium better?

Not a traction battery question I know...I received two keys with my used Spark EV. One was flagged by the car as having a low battery. I replaced them both with standard batteries and then both indicated low battery. Thinking I could have gotten a bad batch I returned to the store and purchased...

Planning a set of Michelin Xice tires for winter.

Update, having only driven two days on the factory Ecopas I was not prepared for the lack of traction of the Michelin Ice X i3 at 75* in the dry! I was leaving town for work and wanted as many loose ends tied up as possible. Under hard throttle the fronts just whirr like a sewing machine with...

New Spark owner excited to join the club!

The Spark is so much more roomy than one would expect. You get out, turn around and think, “I just got out of that?”. We have made a few trips with three people in it (up to 6’3”) and no space issues. Can’t wait to get back to town and release it from the airport parking garage!

Set of Spark EV wheels For Sale

I’m in the market for a spare set of wheels. Just mounted the snow tires for winter. Don’t like the idea of visiting the tire shop twice a year.

2014 spark ev recall notice in mail

I just scheduled my vehicle for the update. It is my first trip to a dealer for a recall, ever (45 Years old). This is the newest car I have ever owned.

Which battery is better? 2014 or 2015-16?

In hot-ridding the premise that there is no replacement for displacement comes to mind. A larger capacity battery will not be taxed as badly as a smaller one. My bet is on the A123 unit in the 2014 model. I bought a 2014 for just that reason. Time will tell.

New Spark owner excited to join the club!

I’m in the Boise Idaho area. Shipping was $625 and they damaged the bumper on the trailer but we’ll get that worked out. This thing is fantastic! It still has California plates on it so I could drive like a man possessed! The original tires won’t survive long with me driving like this!

Planning a set of Michelin Xice tires for winter.

Last winter we had 7-8 of snow on the ground at one point. One of my cars couldn’t leave the driveway. This is my get to work car. My backup is a Cessna 172. 2014 Spark EV Edit: tires are ordered!

New Spark owner excited to join the club!

Just bought a 2014 Spark EV. After reading every forum, blog, and YouTube comment I decided the 2014 was the commuter car for me. My employer will let me plug in free of charge. My commute is about 25 miles and the right lane of the freeway runs 62-65 MPH all the way to work most mornings. Now I...
