Try using a USB cable that only charges. If can't find one get a Lighter charger adapter or modify your cable leaving connected only the power lines

The best mechanic is noisiette123 in Quebec. He is enable to upgrade to DC fast charge in models that came without it. If I was on the east coast definitely would take it there.
