I switched to Non LRR Firestone Firehawks on the front at 9k miles and now at 12k, I have only noticed a 3-5% reduction in EV range but noticeable increase in traction. I still get the crappy stability control kick in when I get too much lean into corners.

After my stock front tires wore out at 9000 miles, I swapped them out a few months ago with non-LRR Firestone Firehawks with no noticeable range decrease or issues. I do notice better traction and less of the traction control kicking in on the mountain roads. Have 3000 miles on the tires now.

The front tires were already worn out and nearly bald and traction control was kicking on around most freeway ramps.

stock tires are horrible. Just trashed the front tires at 9800 miles and got non-LRR Firestone Firehawk instead. Much better tire so far and not much range loss.

I guess if you consider more traction equals quicker acceleration, then yes, but really just nice to not have wheel spin everywhere.

Problem is the OEM tires are such poor quality so getting another LRR type is preferred so at least there is a mileage warranty unlike the OEM ones.

I did the round trip to work today on the winding Hwy 9 and Bear Creek Road home and the Stabilitrak was absolutely maddening!! It was hitting the brakes on most curves and sucked the fun out of the drive. Our Volt handles the road WAY better. Even when I turned it off, it kicked back on...

We love the feel of driving in L and use it 100% of the time in our Volt and Spark EV.

Looks like a bunch of Spark EV's got bumped off the Spark Stats leaderboard when the OnStar authentication errors were popping up a few weeks ago and folks need to login to reauthenicate their accounts. We were up to 33 owners at one time. Neat to see how many gas free miles we are racking up.

I bought a Bosch 30A PowerMax, a 30A GE dryer cord and ran 8G wire to a new garage outlet from a 40A 2 pole breaker in my power panel. No issues since August and the dryer cord doesn't even get warm.

With all these miles racked up, what are you guys doing about tire rotations? Just left to right swap or front to back and not worry about the tire size difference? Our tires at only 6K are showing pretty significant wear already.
