Hi, everyone!
A few days ago the front passenger side collapsed. Things didn't stop there because the tire exploded. Guess what did happen? The coil spring slipped past the bottom seat. The end of the spring contact cut the tire like a knife. Replaced the strut and the spring but I don't know what is holding the spring from rotating and slipping past the seat. I can't see any clamps there. Am I missing something?
My car is a 2015 Spark.

Uhmmm I faced the same with my car where the coil spring slipped and caused a tire blowout. After replacing the strut and spring, I learned that some vehicles use a spring seat or retainer to keep the spring in place. If yours doesn’t have visible clamps, it might rely on the design of the strut assembly to hold it steady. I’d recommend checking a repair manual or consulting a mechanic for specific guidance on your car..
