The Volt is also torque limited up to around 10-15 mph. One way some people have gotten around this is to hold the brake while pressing down on the accelerator. Then when you are ready to go, just release the brakes. If you pressed down far enough on the accelerator, you should be able to "launch" much faster than flooring the pedal alone.
You can do a similar thing by putting the accelerator to the floor while in neutral and then changing to drive.

The first time I noticed that I was surprised because I was unintentionally depressing the accelerator while in neutral in traffic I scared myself when I put it into drive and the car shot forward!!!

Finally, a thread where we see videos on https://www.youtube.com as well, not just pictures.

All of them were quite awesome, thanks for the effort.

Incredibly old thread, I know, but I recently purchased a Spark EV. Here is the result of me telling my friend that this car can do a decent burnout.

JeffTAC,

Your link was deleted because the next photo led to some wierdass pornhub nonsense.

Besides, the picture was just rubber streaks, no sign of a Spark EV.

Post again if you are for real. If not .......
Used '14 2LT w/ DCFC. +76 K miles.
Mostly free charging! Only one LONG visit to the shop....
GM needs Modern Troubleshooting tools for Modern EV's.
3 step Trouble Tree, 2nd guess not covered by warranty and cost $800. 3rd guess fixed the problem.

That's strange. The link was just to an image on imgur, which is one of the more popular photo sharing websites.

I am sorry if something went wrong with my link, but I am fairly certain I posted the correct content. The image linked above was meant to be:

You are right, my SparkEV was not in the shot. I had rounded the corner and placed it back on the charger.

I do not know what you mean by porn or "next image". It should only be one image.

How did you do this? Seriously, what procedure allowed a prolonged two wheel burnout?!

Traction control off, Stability control off, SPORT mode, Low "gear".

No special prep. Stock Ecopias at 35 PSI, cold.
