Here is what I urge everyone to do. Contact [email protected] and tell them what is going on and link them to this thread. I did just that. I am hoping they will understand that this is a problem at their end. It is not the app.
I called on star more than four times and every time they tell me that everything is fine on their end. I have tried to connect to the car via the app using an iPhone, a Samsung S5, my iPad and it still does not work. I can connect with our Volt with no problems at all. This is definitely a...
I am getting a diagnostic refresh failed on the onstar app. My car cannot connect to the app for some reason. The Chevy volt has no problem connecting. It is only the Spark. The map can locate the car fine. It is only the diagnostic that is not working. Anyone had this problem? Do you know how...
I did an experiment on my last charge. I drove surface streets only and did not charge the car until I had 4% left on the battery, the equivalent of 5 miles. So what range did I get?
103 miles+5 miles left=108 miles. Way higher than the 82 miles range that the EPA suggests. The MPGe was a 203...
Hi guys,
I had a small accident in my beloved Spark. Front left fender, bumper and fender well shield need to be replaced and painted. The left fender has the electric charge plug. I need a shop that specializes in electric cars. Know of any? Please suggest them.
I figured out what the problem was. I was forgetting to reset the charging amp from the default 8 to 12. Once I did that, the car started giving me two chirps when I was charging and had about 75% full charge. When I charge @ 12 amps with 50% full charge it still gives me 4 chirps since 6 hours...
I contacted the GM Electric Car Team and told them my issue this is their reply:
"Thank you for contacting The General Motors Electric Vehicle Team.
The four horn chirps is actually indicating that there is not enough time to fully charge. You can get four horn chirps with either the 120V...
Why was it so expensive if I may ask? My electric panel is NOT in the garage and mine was very expensive to install since they had to lay a 55 foot cable from the garden to the garage. Was that your problem as well?
I charge using the stock cable with a 120 volt outlet at 12 amps. It usually takes 9 hours to fully charge the car from half empty.
Yesterday I changed the charging schedule on my Spark. I set it to charge between 12 am and 6 am, the cheapest electric rate. All the other times were set to...
I think this is one of the dumbest features on the car. I hate it. I like flashing my lights to warn other cars when they are about to make a left turn and I am driving through an intersection. I like flashing lights if I want a slow car to move from the fast lane on the freeway. BUT, I do NOT...
Removing the stagger is an advantage. The stagger (rear wide tires and wheels) is designed to induce under steer. Same size tires/wheels front and rear reduces under steer and makes the car turn in better. I did that on my old S2000 which was staggered by design. OEMs stagger wheels/tires to...
The cheapest way to improve the handling on a FWD car is to play with the tire pressure. IIRC, lower pressure in the rear and higher pressure in the front makes the car rotate better.
The next best way is to remove the silly staggered set-up. This is not an S2000 for God's sake. I was told that...
I only drive the car on surface streets and that is about 3-5 miles per day. I have a Golf TDI for my work commute.
Part of me wants to know the maximum miles I can get per charge. But if I keep it plugged in all the time, then I will never get to know that.
Should I also keep it plugged in...
So chevy reduced the torque and upped the numerical gear ratio on the car for 2015. Wouldn't that end up giving the same or similar acceleration numbers to the 2014? Is there a way to determine mathematical acceleration numbers out of the weight, gear ratio, and torque for each model year?
