anyone want to modify their blue interior trim?

I know exactly what you are talking about, even though I am partially colorblind, the black and blue were clashing too much for me, that's why I got a white LT1 for myself and a blue LT2 for my daughter. Actually, considering swapping the seats so at least one car has somewhat consistent color...

Finally had an opportunity to take a picture of both Sparkies.[/img][/img]

Any of you owners live outside the sell States?

Glad you were able to swing it, I am sure you will enjoy it more and more every day. Smart move on your part since "someone" can cut of the gasoline supply to you, but doubt it's that easy to do with electricity. If they do cause fuel shortages in your area, you will be the only one driving...

goes into reverse if not in park.after shutting motor off

I really don't know of any, but I also don't think there is any harm in programming the vehicle software that way. Thanks for the links btw, it depicts the wide range of the lack of standard, typical of fairly new technology. I noticed on the Leaf forum someone mentioned there is not harm in...

goes into reverse if not in park.after shutting motor off

I think that regardless of your car rolling backwards or "going" backwards under power, it should not be happening after the power button been depressed. It is a programming error in my opinion, nothing more. When the car is under a certain speed let's say of 2 mph and the power button turned...

Do you ALWAYS plug in at home or only when needed ?

I would get it documented in the service protocol, just in case the battery does degrade and they are looking for someone to blame. It's unfortunate, but it is a revolving door at the most dealerships and they just don't give a dam about anything including you and your car. That calls for you to...

    Making car more visible

"Bright orange stealth" sounds like an oxymoron... but now I am a bit worried about my daughter driving the second Sparky. btw, i think Honda just announced a safety recall for the Fit, you may want to check it out. Anyone aware of any traffic laws prohibiting reflective tape been applied to...

    Chevy Spark 2014 Tire Rotation

Let me clarify, I do not disagree with your statements because they are not true, I disagree because I don't like them been true, and believe the rest of the consumers should do the same. 1. Tires are consumable. - true and does not mean they should not have a treadware warranty...

Newbie questions: Outside temperature/AC & Time to charge

As long as you take one of the battery clamps off, may as well take of the second one and instal those little felt rings on the terminals. This is handy, especially if you own the car and plan keeping it for a long term.

    Chevy Spark 2014 Tire Rotation

I would disagree with these statements. If the wiper blades and washer fluid have some kind of mile warranty then the manufacturer should replace the item that is warranted. In case of tires, they should carry some kind of mileage warranty and if not holding up to that mileage, should be...

    Making car more visible

I don't know if it's a function of just been a small car or the color, but it seems the drivers sometimes don't see me, or pretend they don't see me. I had the very similar thing happening twice today. As I was changing lanes another driver just squeezed their vehicle right ahead of me. Both...

    Initial Six Battery Cycles

Some sales people just need to be dope-slapped sometimes. Where is this nonsense is coming from is probably his father telling him to keep his NiCad power drills batteries drained to the maximum to avoid the battery memory effecting the next "full" charge. The number six is probably came from...

    2015 Chevy Spark EV specifications

It probably depends on how occasional is your LA trip. Couple of times a year, I'd take the Surfliner and figure out from there, couple of times a month - the 2014 or 2015 is not gonna save you I am afraid. If this is one and only car you have in your household, the long trips would become too...

Speaking of the heavy industries, similar "truck" been made for decades by Russians with diesel generators and electric motors. Today, in fact, the biggest hauler made. http://www.e-mj.com/features/3410-belaz-builds-the-world-s-largest-haul-truck.html#.U-cAd2PQqNE

    Touchscreen Trouble

If you ever have a similar problem again, I believe you can plug in the charging plug, unplug it briefly and plug it back in, the charging should start immediately.

    PG&E Rate EV-A Summarized

Sure, but do you really think they have any incentive to make it easy for the consumer? The more convoluted and hard to understand the bill is the better they are off :(

Battery Conditioning: Has anyone actually seen it?

you nozferatu, had few powertrain issues awhile back from what I recall, please share if and when it gets resolved. It also would be interesting to see how the 2015 model is behaving in this respect.

Spark Ergonomics, it's a great car, but ...

My my own admission I am horrible with ergonomics/controls going from one car to another, Toyota to Volvo for example. But, I suspect you are either way too tall or way too short, or there is something else "wrong" with you  I especially paid attention to the location, feel and...

Consequences of disconnecting the 12V battery

Thank you xylhim, this makes it an easy choice. Does anyone have a logical explanation of these statements from the owner manual page 10-14: Reconnecting the 12-Volt Black Negative Cable With the 12-volt black negative (−) cable disconnected, the hatch cannot be opened by pressing the hatch...

Consequences of disconnecting the 12V battery

I know that it is really unnecessary, especially in San Diego climate and on 36mo lease, but.... I want to install the little felt rings on the battery terminals and grease them up accordingly. I have always done it on all my cars and I hope it saved me some grief somewhere down the road...
