    Aftermarket Driver's seat?

Bryce, When I replace the stock seats, I'll have the seat heaters transferred to the new seats. Shouldn't be a problem. Occupancy sensors? Transferred as well. Airbags? Uh-oh, dunno about that. Ideas? -Bob K.

    Aftermarket Driver's seat?

I talked to the guys at Planted (http://www.plantedtechnology.com/) about making seat brackets for my Spark EV. This is what they said: "Hi Bob, Thank you of your inquiry! Unfortunately we don't currently have seat brackets for either of the Sparks. We are always looking to add new...

    Road Racing, anyone?

Interesting observations, Bryce. That was my first ever "track day". What a gas! I saw 87 mph, but I was really ignoring the instruments and concentrating on driving, since I was unfamiliar with both car and track. Last thing I wanted to do was to wad it. This coming Sunday is autoX at...

    Conversion to DV charging

Good points, all around. The weakness in this car is its 3.3 kW charger; it's just too slow to be practical other than for charging at home, for the most part. I've had my Spark EV out on the roads in Ga., going from Decatur to Gainesville (58 mi), DC charge at a Kia dealership, on to Athens...

    Road Racing, anyone?

BMWCCA racing event. Some of my fellow EV Club of the South members are also BMWCCA members, and they invited me to tag along for their "parade laps". Cost $10. Georgia has seen an explosion of DC fast charging stations within the last 24 months; no problem having enough juice to drive up to...

    Road Racing, anyone?

Spent 7 laps chasing a gaggle of i3s around Road Atlanta last Saturday. What a hoot! The Spark EV performed well on stock tires and suspension. A little squirrely, yes, but gobs of power. It easily kept up with the Bimmers!

OBD2 Scanner and Software for 2015 Chevy Spark

I haven't fooled with changing the display style/type, but yes, I do know it exists. I'll look at that when time is available. I seem to recall "ATF" something in the list of sensors, but I'll have to look again. Temp sensors was what I was really after, and then power-in from AC charging...

OBD2 Scanner and Software for 2015 Chevy Spark

Hat tip to solder for setting up the challenge. Took me a while to get to this. Priorities... That was a screenshot of Torque on my old 7" Galaxy Tab GTP-10000. Yes, battery temp! Yes, pack voltage. Yes, Charging System temp! And etc. Lots and lots of sensor data through which to wade...

    HID Option?

I see the same thing with stock headlamps. -Bob K.

Vibration while braking with AC on

Add me to the list. The vibration is not severe, but it is definitely noticeable, and only when the A/C is on whilst decelerating.

GM all weather floormats in the Spark EV (Part 95259816)

Bryce, excellent writeup. I'm about to tackle this upgrade. Could you have countersunk the female clip into the mat, similar to the factory holes? I imagine that it can be done, but I've not investigated how. -Bob K.

    Side Window Weather Deflector

I ordered this from Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BBWA84E?redirect=true&ref_=pe_1811570_136791410_E_Asin_Title I returned it because I didn't realize that the installation required sticking them to the outside of the doors. I ordered this in its place...

Warranty service outside of the sales states

I can add my 2 pence: Bought my 2014 Spark EV new from a Chevy dealer in MI. He got it from a Chevy dealer in Calif. Shipped it to Ga. Car wouldn't DC fast charge, so it went to Ellis Chevrolet here in Atlanta. Ellis had a used non-DC fast charge capable Spark EV in inventory for nearly two...

Charging 2015 Spark EV with an extension cord

All good points. This part was of particular interest to me because I have a home automation system: "Most outlets today have both push-in and screw connectors. The problem with push-ins is the poor connection between the wire and the retaining barb which bites into the wire." The HA system...

    Conversion to DV charging

I just recently got my 2014 Spark EV out of the shop (after 82 days...grrrr). The Volt-certified tech that worked on my car said that the Lear charger on the Spark EV is not the same as the one on the Volt. I asked specifically about that charger because we were talking about adding a second...

Anyone else impressed by the handling?

Yes, but did you end up changing the rear suspension? Updates?
