I drive a '15 and it's very efficient on city streets. However as soon as I get on the highway at 60-70 mph the trend line on the guessometer drops like a stone. ....

This is all vehicles that move through the air.

Wind resistance increases with the square of velocity.

How many pennies is it costing you to drive 70 MPH?

Good point. Running takes more energy than walking.

As for the cost, right now it's near 0 because work supplies the electrons (I don't have a home charger). It's an amazing feeling to not buy gas. In 3 years they'll start charging me 2.50 / hour so I'll have to visit the mall more or something.. but that's not a concern for a while. Love driving my electric tic tac! Compared to my gas car the experience is like going form analog TV to digital.
