In my 2014 SPARK EV LT2 with DCFC 58,000 miles. 15.5 kWh of battery capacity remaining I have gotten the following message at my last six
DCFC charging sessions: 'Charging rate limited to 30% at vehicles request' I got this message from both Electrify America, and EVgo stations.
I got this message whether the EV was hot , or cold. I have gotten it over a three week period.

The chargers were capable of delivering the full 50 KW as I stayed and watched other EVs charge up at the faster rate.

Has anyone had this experience and know how to rectify it? Thanks in advance!

I haven't gotten that message but at EVgo, new Electrify Americas and CalTrans chargers they only let me charge at 14 kW. At an older Electrify America it charges me at 50kW. I too have a 2014 Spark EV. I just did the modification on the charging port as described on this post https://sparkev.blogspot.com/2015/09/solution-problem-with-dc-fast-charge.html?m=1

In the past I was only able to get one charger to work at the older Electrify America to work. Today I tried at one of the chargers there that I only ever got communications errors and it worked the first time and charged at 50 kW. I then went to an EVgo station hoping it fix that too but nope just charged at 14 kW. I am really interested if 2015 or 2016 Spark EVs are having the same problem.
