How many GM cars do you currently own?

I have sold 9 GM vehicles and own 3 currently. I've had 33 vehicles in total. I like cars.

I'm probably close to 33 total. Current GM vehicles (that I forgot to list above) is a 1951 GMC 4500 truck with 5 speed Fuller transmission, no synchronizes, and two speed rear end. I use it as the airport trash mobile, since it has a hoist / lift for the 16 foot bed.

Another that I sort of own is a 1980 Chevy C-20 pickup, 4x4, 3/4 ton, 350, 4 speed and a 1981 one ton Chevy cab and chassis, dualie, 454, 4 speed, 4x4.

The Spark EV is the first GM we've bought. All other cars we've bought have been a Datsun, 5 Hondas, 1 Toyota, and 1 VW bug.

Through the years we have been given 3 GMs from my husband's family: the old 1955 pick-up my husband drove when we first met, a Buick Wildcat (don't know the year...definitely wasn't our style of car but came in handy when our old Datsun was totaled), and the 1971 GMC pick-up that my husband occasionally pulls out when he needs to haul something big.

I have to admit, I'm very surprised I ever bought a GM. They just haven't been my style...mostly, too big. IMO the small GMs have never competed with Hondas and Toyotas. I love my little Spark EV, though. In this case, GM built a car that spoke to me.

Here are all my GMs in order of when I acquired them.

1979 Pontiac Bonneville (First car)
1997 Pontiac Firebird Formula
2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS.6
2002 Corvette Z06
2003 Corvette Z06
2014 Corvette Z51
2014 Spark EV

You're probably thinking what a strange jump to go from a bunch of performance cars to a Spark.

Well, it is a strange jump. One I'm happy to get used to.

'53 Chevy (3 on the tree)
'53 Pontiac V8 (3 on the tree)
'55 Chevy Bel Air (Powerglide automatic)
'56 Chevy convertible (265 w/ 4 barrel) Blew it up drag racing
'58 Chevy convertible (283 automatic) Pivot bracket for rear diff irreparably rusted out - junked it
'59 Pontiac Bonneville - the first "wide track" marketing, great cruiser, NO snow traction
'61 Chevy Super Sport - (348 w/ 3 carbs, Hurst shifter) Drag raced it lots at Westhampton, then it was stolen
'98 GMC Sonoma pickup - (4 cyl, stick) Economical, narrow like the Spark, poor quality
'99 Malibu (ex rental car) - Cheap commuter, bad electronics, thought we'd never go GM again

Otherwise MG's, Renault, Simca, VW's, 1968 BMW, Porsche 914, 1977 Audi 5000, 1980 Mercedes diesel, Toyota's, Honda's (inc. Honda Ridgeline pickup), Mazda CX-5

The Spark EV is more fun than any of them except the MG's, the slow but mid-engined 914 and the sweet BMW 1600 :D

1. '65 Cadillac coup de ville
2. '70 Pontiac Trans Am
3. '84 GMC Jimmy full size
4. '95 Pontiac Firebird

I'm one who, outside of a '56 Chevy we had, never even considered a GM car.

Friends are still surprised to see me driving behind the bow tie.

Just one, my first and the best car I ever had (and I had lots) - 1982 Chevy Caprice Estate Wagon with wood trim
Hoping to get even better quality miles out of this Spark than I gout out of my wagon.
