Is it possible to add a 5th seatbelt (center lap belt rear)?

Went to test a Spark EV, but we were 5 people and the car only seated 4.

it's really a four passenger car. For five, you need something else.

Having just leased one yesterday, I can say unless you're planning on sitting 3 midgets in the rear, 5 people is definitely a nogo.

I have 3 kids and definitely would like to fit all 3 in the back seat to get ice cream or what ever.

But noticed that the seats are diferent from the regular spark, so might not be compatible with the Europe version that has 3 seatbelts in the back seat.

The battery pack is just under the cup holder. There is no provision for a center passenger. As far as space goes, my adult children find the back seat of the Spark EV much more comfortable than their eldest sisters VW new Beetle. I am 6’ 235lbs and don’t mind the back if my 5’2” wife is driving. 6 foot folks occupying all positions would be cramped.

Has anyone removed the rear seat? Anyone have any instructions?

Sparks in mexico have 3 seatbelts in the rear, i found a set for $100 that i might try to fit my spark ev., but i have no idea how to remove this rear seat.
