This was my first EV too so I went with a 2016 with 1.4k miles ($12.5k purchase price, $14k with tax) so I could have a longer warranty period for peace of mind.
As a bonus, 2016s got a $500 voucher for Bosch EVSE and the one for my car hadn't been claimed yet so I got a Bosch Power Max EVSE. I was also able to get $500 from my utility. I didn't have the MSO so couldn't get the CA state and federal rebates
I would get an L2 EVSE. Plugging and unplugging and storing the L1 got old and with only about 1kw/h charge rate it took forever. Keep the L1 in your trunk for emergencies and get an L2 for your home.
As for dcfc, that was a nice to have and I wanted it but I prioritized getting a low miles car over dcfc
