I got home the other day without charging during the day. I drove extra miles in the morning to go to a meeting. I drove home very carefully. I left with about 15 on the guess O meter (after driving UP-hill.) The first twenty -five were 'free' (downhill). I was advised at two yellow bars that I should charge soon. Later I was advised that my power would be reduced. With one yellow bar the max-min 'range' went away at about 9 miles. I was further advised that I should charge NOW. I eased into my drive with the yellow bar still flashing angrily, and a stale 1 for my range. I recorded 102 miles traveled and 18.4 kWh used. That was my first electric commute . Now I charge during the day.
