White crystals in back seat.

Hi all, my spark is growing some weird white crystals in the rear seat foot wells. has anyone seen anything like this? I'm worried this might be a coolant leak.

Nobody has been in the back for years and the crystals are clearly growing out of the carpet. It looks kinda like what happens when salt builds up on your cloths after engaging in strenuous physical activity outside when it is very hot. There is a ring around the footwell that suggests there was some liquid that deposited this mineral. Also it's not salt, it has no discernable taste.

It reminded me of the corrosion around battery terminals on an old gas type car.
I hope someone with more knowledge comes along and sets us both straight.
