LET'S BUILD THE CALIFORNIA WEST COAST ELECTRIC HIGHWAY

This is a common complaint: "I live near XYZ and ABC, yet there's no DC a charger there. Why wouldn't you do that first?" The various tourist spots are just that, and the WCEH is first and foremost an interstate transportation EV recharging program. I personally can't drive to the eastern...

LET'S BUILD THE CALIFORNIA WEST COAST ELECTRIC HIGHWAY

Certainly, that's not our of the realm of possibilities. I'm not sure how to fix it short of competition or regulation.

    Tesla CHAdeMO/CCS Network

Apple pushed the mobile phone industry; not by copying or building Motorola or Palm devices, but building their own. You'll note where Motorola and Palm are. So will CCS and CHAdeMO.

LET'S BUILD THE CALIFORNIA WEST COAST ELECTRIC HIGHWAY

We are indeed working on the "democratic" NGO type organization of which you speak!!! Pricing should be "competitive" with other providers... monthly plans, per kWh plans, and per use. Draw a "London Underground" style map: (no particular order for 2-6, but 7 is last): 1) San Diego to...

    Tesla CHAdeMO/CCS Network

Not even a remote possibility. They will build their far superior Tesla Supercharger network (with destinations, like hotels, equipped with HPC). Then, they will offer the following adaptors: 1) J1772 - $95 2) CHAdeMO - $450 3) SAE-CCS-Combo1 - if the standard gains traction, it will get an...

Can I use the Tesla chargers?

All our manufacturing is done in Kennewick, WA, USA. The Tesla adaptor is a lot easier to build than our CHAdeMO modification (JdeMO) !

You certainly have my permission to use this in any way that promotes EV infrastructure.

Can I use the Tesla chargers?

If you're a JESLA owner, congrats! If you want to use your JESLA to charge something besides your Spark EV (or any other J1772 car), you will need the current Tesla supplied adaptor ($95 from Tesla) to charge a Tesla Model S/3/X. Our new adaptor is the reverse. It will allow a Tesla AC charge...

Can I use the Tesla chargers?

Is this a test, like the question, "When did you stop beating your wife?"

DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger, etc.

Here's the "scorecard" of sales: http://insideevs.com/monthly-plug-in-sales-scorecard/ You can update this data that I post over and over: 1) CHAdeMO - 5467 Worldwide (6 March 2015) 124 new CHAdeMO chargers added in USA between 9 Jan 2015 and 6 March 2015: Adding about 2-3 per day in the...

What's the total, and usable, battery capacity?

It seems you want me to defend the poor industry practice? I'm not likely to do that. But, to say that there is no industry standard for measuring battery capacity is most definitely not the case. Of course there is. We (meaning EV enthusiasts) have the tools to get a pretty descent...

DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger, etc.

You did great. Thanks for not pulling this into the cesspool that it has been in the past. Plus, you answered your own question. YOU don't see the value in learning about CCS, but prospective buyers do, and whether you want to believe is or not, THEY READ THIS FORUM !!! Thanks for "shaping up"!

DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger, etc.

EDIT: This was a post in response to the original post made by Pawl above. Thankfully, he has done the right thing and edited it to something more appropriate for this forum. ******* Honestly, you came to a thread about "DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger, etc.", and you're...

What's the total, and usable, battery capacity?

Perhaps it's oversimplified. I do not know of a single other manufacturer except GM who hides the battery degradation. None of us know if the method used on the Volt is similar to the Spark.

DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger, etc.

Yes, I'm used to the attack method on this forum. I sincerely hope you don't take it to the level of others (who are no longer participants here). If you read the title to the thread, you'll find that it is NOT just about the Spark EV. It's about all the DC charging standards in the USA...

DC fast charging: J1772 CCS vs CHAdeMO vs Supercharger, etc.

We added more CHAdeMO in the world in 56 days than all the SAE-CCS-Combo1 equipment ever installed: 124 new CHAdeMO chargers added in USA between 9 Jan 2015 and 6 March 2015: Adding about 2-3 per day in the USA, and 8 per day worldwide !!! Japan -- now 2819, was 2819 (obviously not updated)...
