since i cant charge in the summer to get the TMS on, how about using a car cover. they are really inexpensive on amazon. will that lower the temperture to at least 90 degrees. anyone have experience with them.

Remember, you dont need to charge, you just need to be plugged into 120volt outlet, and if you are not supposed to use it to charge, just set delayed charging.
As the result it will only use minuscule amount of electricity and only once every few hours to cool down the battery

i dont have access to a plug period in employee parking. its outside uncovered. u think a car cover will drop the temp 10 to 20 degrees.

Car cover may help reduce the cabin temperature from going far too much above ambient, but I don't see how it'd help with the battery. There's no IR path to increase the battery temperature from the sun, so only convection and conduction would apply. There's little conduction, so it'd be mostly convection. Far bigger source of heat will be convection coming from the black-top asphalt, and car cover would do little to help.

Things that may help are parking under a shade, parking in light colored top (ie, grey concrete or grass), pick breezy areas. But none of these will get the temperature below ambient.
