How to pair a new fob?

My wife just lost her backup fob for her 2015 Spark EV! I went ahead and ordered a replacement, but now I'm totally stumped on how to pair it with the master fob.
Anyone got the scoop on the process? Appreciate any tips!

To pair the new fob, turn on the ignition with the master fob inside and press the lock button on the new fob a few times..
