Hey all, so I am curious on what tire size you planning to use for your winter tires? Are you going to maintain the wider tires on the rear for better traction in snow? And also what wheel diameter, and brand?

I run 15" steelies meant for a Cruze (Dorman 939-100) and 175/65/15 General Altimax winter tires. They're a little taller and narrower than stock, and I find they do quite well in the snow (I live outside Buffalo, NY).

The same route with 16" wheels here. I am into Michelin X-Ice and Bridgestone Blizzak.

Nice setup! Those narrower tires should help with traction in the snow. I’m considering options for my winter tires as well, are there any specific features you like about the General Altimax?

I know Michelin X-Ice and Bridgestone Blizzak to have solid reputations for winter performance. How do you find the handling and grip with those tires?

They're relatively cheap and very good in the snow. I've run them on an assortment of 2wd cars through buffalo winters.
