If you're like me and love technology but hate all the messy cables then wireless charging is the way to go. It's a one time investment that will keep on saving time and adds convenience. I had this on my old car and have just added this capability to my Spark EV.
This method does not require the 2015 LG Chem made batteries, 2014s are okay. It's extremely simple process that requires little to know electrical or engineering skills. You will need a cellular device that uses the Qi standard. I've added pictures and a link to a video that shows it all in process.
First the supplies:
"1 x LG Electronics WCP-300 Wireless Charging Pad" can be bought on Amazon
"1 x LG Smart Fit2 Car cradle holder" this item is extremely hard to find. I got mine shipped from Korea through ebay. It can be found here http://www.ebay.com/itm/O-K-Best-of...979?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20e640e883 but it seems it cant be bought yet as it won't be shipped until February.
Finally you need
1 x Universal Serial Bus car adapter (24W 5V 4.8A recommended) this is also on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Charger-Vinsic-iPhone-Samung-Tablets/dp/B00MA5V48A/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1416442716&sr=8-13&keywords=car+charger
First take the USB car adapter and plug it in to the cigarette port
Next take the USB 2.0 plug and plug it in to the adapter then run the cable up to the center console
Now you need to secure the cradle, I recommend using super glue as the sticky surface and suction cup simply won't hold it
Then, fit the charging pad into the cradle and plug it in. It should light up Orange when the car is on but not charging
Finally add your Qi standard phone. I used my Nexus 5, to see if your will work check here: http://www.qinside.biz/en/support/qi-enabled-phones
That's it!! Now you can charge your phone in your Spark Ev without having to plug it in.
